I’m sure that everone who cares already knows that Alley Cat races have been permanently canceled. I have heard the sob stories, offered a shoulder to cry on, and even shed a tear myself.

But now it’s all over…

I can assure all you cats that the Alliance will have some event for us all to get together and have a good time, soon. We may not race, but we will gather and we will ride our bikes cause that’s what it was really all about anyways. I found it interesting that those who were so upset about the HJ article could not complain about anything they had directly felt. In our defense, we did these races for five months consecutively and no one noticed any change in drivers attitudes, no one could complain about actually seeing us run a stop sign, or had heard about a bunch of drunk cyclists “drag racing” through the streets. I think we all know that this is because we weren’t really causing any problems. We are just a group of people who like to ride our bikes and would never do anything that would change us being able to do that."
